The Aydın Doğan Foundation is reputed for  its focus on education. In order to contribute to the  training of qualified media employees The Aydın Doğan Foundation annualy organizes  a Competition for Young Communication Majors. The goal of the competition is to promote continous development in the field of communication and to contribute to the development of modern leaders of the media from among students of communication schools.
 
    The Aydın Doğan Foundation not only gives scholarships and awards the winners, but also provides internship opportunities within DHY, The Doğan News Agency. The competition which aims to promote Turkish journalists, tv producers, radio programmers not only for today, but also for the future, in their international competition with their counterparts in developed countries, A  good many of the competitors of the past years have already come to important positions in the Turkish media.
 
    Over the years, thousands of students from communication schools have participated in the competition in the fields of written, visual, and audio communication, as well as in advertisement, public relations, and internet journalism.
