A flood of Cartoons…
The Aydın Doğan International Cartoon Competition observes a meticilous selection process. Once the contest begins, cartoons begin to pour in from almost 100 countries such as Ghana, Finland, the United States, the Philippines etc. Thousands of works are submitted and reviewed by a preliminary committee to select the finalists which are then reviewed by a selection committee in June that ultimately chooses the award-winning cartoons.
A jury of the world’s most famous cartoonists…
The election committee, which grants awards to 15 different works following a rigorous elimination, is comprised of world famous caricature masters such as Adolf Born, Steve Brodner, Fontanarrosa, Brad Holland, Anita Kunz, Mordillo, Jean Plantu, Quino, Jüng Spahr, Ralph Steadman, Tignous, Roland Topor, Georges Wolinski, as well as top names from Turkey.
